Carolyn Woods, M.Ed., W.E.M.T. Camp Director, Co-Owner

In addition to being one of the founders of Boundless Adventures, Carolyn has been directing the Outdoor Education Center of Florida Community College for twelve years as well as serving as a Professor of Outdoor Education. She is the Director of Camp Wildwoods in Yulee, Florida. Carolyn graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Leadership. Carolyn has been an outdoor enthusiast since she was a small child. She has hiked sections of the Appalachian Trail, paddled throughout most of the east coast and has led groups into the wilderness in California's Big Bear Mountains and is an avid rock climber. One of Carolyn's passions is teaching wilderness medicine. She is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician, certified in Search and Rescue as well as a Wilderness First Responder, teaches part time for Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities (SOLO). Carolyn has twice medaled in the Pan Am Games in Tae Kwon Do.

Carolyn's hobbies include backpacking, climbing, fly fishing, paddling, martial arts, crafting and snow camping. When's she is not at the Outdoor Center, you might find her hanging out with Solee the Wonderdog, volunteering in a search and rescue or making jewelry.

Leslie Stansbury, W.F.A. Logistics Director, Co-Owner

In addition to being one of the founders of Boundless Adventures, Leslie has been the Program Director as well as the Logistics Coordinator for Florida Community College's Camp Wildwoods for the past four years. Leslie is an avid surfer, rock climber, paddler and hiker. She is certified in wilderness first aid and CPR. When she is not enjoying the outdoors, she is the HRIS Administrator for VyStar Credit Union.

Khristi Keefe, M.A., Assistant Camp Director

Khristi Keefe is a Program Facilitator for FCCJ's Nassau Outdoor Education Center. She facilitates challenge programs for college students, businesses, schools and non-profit civic organizations. In the summer, Khristi also serves as the Assistant Camp Director at FCCJ's Camp Wildwoods. Khristi also works as a guidance counselor for the Duval County Public School system and teaches yoga.

Khristi earned her Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation at Georgia Southern University while practicing competitive swimming. She was selected as the NCAA Woman of the Year during her senior year at Southern. Khristi earned her Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from University of North Florida. Khristi's latest academic pursuit was attaining a Specialist degree in School Counseling from Argosy University as well as her beginning her doctorate studies.

Khristi's hobbies include cycling, reading and practicing yoga.

Carlos Chavez-Tafur, B.A., WFR. Program Director

Carlos has been a Program Facilitator for Florida Community College's Outdoor Education Center for over five years. Originally from Peru, South America, he speaks fluent Spanish and English serves as his second language. After obtaining a psychology degree from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, Carlos worked as a licensed mental health professional in Lima. After relocating to the United States, Carlos began working for Outward Bound and has been doing so for the past eight years. Currently he is the Program Director for the Step base in Yulee Florida. Carlos is married and is the proud father of twin girls. Carlos enjoys the outdoors, playing sports, working in his yard and reading.

Micah Vilmar, Counselor

Micah is one of Boundless Adventures newest members even though he brings with him much experience as a camp counselor. Micah is the lead counselor as well as a Wilderness Trip Camp Counselor for Florida Community College's Camp Wildwoods. Micah loves backpacking, paddling, woodcraft and swimming. He is certified in wilderness first aid and CPR.
